Liverpool's Albert Dock

Haworth in Brontë Country
A few photos taken in and around the beautiful village of Haworth in the West Riding of Yorkshire. Haworth is famed for it's cobbled Main Street and association with the Bronte Sisters, who are well known as poets and novelists. The sisters, Charlotte, Emily, and Anne and like many female writers in those days, would publish their poems and novels under male pseudonyms, as in Currer, Ellis, and Acton Bell. At the bottom of Main Street is the Heritage railway line of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, or KWVR for short, and is a unique 5 mile branch line railway set in the heart of West Yorkshire and running heritage steam and diesel trains through stunning Brontë Country. Catbells
Catbells or Cat bells in Keswick is probably one of the most walked peaks of the Lake District. It has a height of 451 metres, or 1480 feet in old money and sits next to the majestic Derwentwater. Ashness Bridge and Surprise View
Ashness Bridge is one of the most popular pack horse bridges in the Lake District National Park, located near to Kewick in the Borrowdale Valley. Just up the road from Ashness Bridge is Surprise View, given it's name as you walk through the trees, it opens up into a magnificiant view of Derwentwater. You can walk, or take the Keswick Ferries on Derwentwater to Ashness Pier (landing stage) and then it's a short walk to the Bridge.
Fathers Day - 2023
As Fathers Day is fast approaching, here are a few photos which they may love to hang in their man cave. You have various aircraft from the Red Arrows, Lancaster Bombers, Vulcan Bomber, Spitfires and Hurricanes. Also, there are firefighters, steam engine or locomotives, the Beetles, kitesurfers, paramotors fireworks, snooker, helicopters and cuban cars.
Lake District - Bassenthwaite
A few photographs from the only true Lake in the Lake District, and that's Lake Bassenthwaite or Bassenthwaite Lake. Bassenthwaithe is located in Cumbria, part of the lake district national park. Antony Gormley - "Another Place"
Antony Gormley's "Another Place" are spectacular sculptures on Crosby beach near Liverpool, they consist of 100 cast-iron, life-size figures spread out along three kilometres of the Crosby shore, or foreshore and stretching almost one kilometre out to sea. For info - The Another Place figures, each one weighing 650 kilos are made from casts of the artist's own body. Buttermere - Lake District
A few photographs from the stunning Buttermere located in the Lake District National Park. It is 1.24 miles (2 km) long, 620 yards (570 m) wide, 75 feet (23 m) deep and the lake shore path is 4½ miles (7km) around. You get beautiful views of Fleetwith Pike, Haystacks, Dale Head, High Style, Red Pike and over at the bridge at Gatesgarth, you may see Brown trout or Arctic char in the Buttermere Dubs. Butter Mere
Ullswater - Lake District

Southport Pier
