The Kelpies statues at Helix Park near Falkirk
The Kelpies are 30-meter-high horse-head sculptures. They represent the mythical water horses and are synonymous with the heavy horses (Clydesdale horses) that worked on the Scottish waterways. These magnificent sculptures lie between Falkirk and Grangemouth on the Forth and Clyde Canal. All images look great on canvas or as a framed print. For outdoor use go with an acrylic print. My images of the Kelpies are amongst my most popular images.
Veryan Cornwall
Veryan near St Mawes SE Cornwall. The Roundhouses mark the entrances to Veryan. There are five Roundhouses in total, originally built by the Trist Family in the early 19th Century - 'Parson Trist' (The local landowner) sited the houses at the entrances to the village in c.1817 - It was thought that the round shape would guard the village from evil as there were no corners in which the devil could hide!

Eilean Donan Castle - in the Scottish Highlands
Eilean Donan Castle is said to be one of the most photographed in Scotland. It is one of the enduring images of the Scottish landscape. Standing on an impressive Island at the point where three lochs meet (Loch Long, Loch Duich, and Lochalsh) it is indeed a magnificent sight. With the ever-popular Isle of Skye just a short drive away it is a must-visit location when traveling the west coast of the Scottish Highlands. The nearest village is Dornie.

It is a much loved seaside resort by residents and tourists alike visiting Whitby harbour, the Abbey, the famous 199 steps and the beautiful sandy beach.

Dorset
Dorset (/'d??rs?t/; archaically: Dorsetshire) is a county in South West England on the English Channel coast. The ceremonial county comprises the unitary authority areas of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and Dorset. Covering an area of 2,653 square kilometres (1,024 sq mi), Dorset borders Devon to the west, Somerset to the north-west, Wiltshire to the north-east, and Hampshire to the east. The county town is Dorchester, in the south. After the reorganisation of local government in 1974, the county border was extended eastward to incorporate the Hampshire towns of Bournemouth and Christchurch. Around half of the population lives in the South East Dorset conurbation, while the rest of the county is largely rural with a low population density.
