Kelling Heath, between Holt and Weybourne, is spread over 200 acres dominated by heather, bell heather, western gorse, gorse and bracken with mixed woodland. Kelling Heath and Muckleburgh Hill in an area of outstanding natural beauty with magnificent views. A short distance above the village is the North Norfolk Railway. NNR Poppy Line station. Blakeney Norfolk
The coastal village of Blakeney Quay Norfolk with it's quaint quay started life as a busy medieval commercial port and is one of the most picturesque on this coast. This Norfolk village is ancient and stands overlooking the huge expanse of saltings towards the bird and seal sanctuary of Blakeney Point. The Blakeney Hotel is the centre piece of the Quay with pubs and shops in the quaint lanes. Many boats are moored here during the summer months and the tidal creeks of the River Glaven lead the sailors, via the quay, to Blakeney Point and the sea. The Norfolk Coast. Thanks for looking.

Autumn Colour
Copper Woodland. The rustle of the copper brown leaves in Autumn and the occasional snap of a small dry fallen branch underfoot. Smell the pine, see the beach colours or rustle through the ferns. Norfolk Staithes and Harbours
Centuries ago Vikings traded along the Norfolk Coast and accessed coastal villages using the narrow creeks and rivers. As time passed the creeks were used for fishing boats to offload their catch. At first the fish were transferred up the muddy banks by hand and later using wooden moorings until finally concrete quays were built. These moorings are still used today by fishing boats and recreational sailors.

Cromer Norfolk
Cromer Pier in North Norfolk has its origins in the 14th Century when it was a Jetty. The first pier was built of wood in the 19th century and in 1901 a 500 ft iron structure was created. The pier houses the Pavilion Theatre offering the only full season end of pier show in the world. The Cromer fishermen launch their fishing boats using colourful tractors. Thanks for looking.

Dawn to Sunrise
Sunrise. In the middle of June the sun rises at 4.29 am and the hour before hand is the time the sky fills with fiery colour. If you allow for travel time you are not in bed very long. I love this time of the morning for the peace it brings. I have seen the sun rise so many times and always get an adrenaline rush as the sun nears the horizon and quickly recheck my camera settings. Happisburgh Lighthouse and Beach Norfolk
Happisburgh is pronounced haze bruh locally. See Happisburgh beach sunrises and images of the red and white lighthouse. Happisburgh Lighthouse is the oldest working light in East Anglia. Built in 1790 this Norfolk tower is 85ft tall and the lantern is 134ft above sea level. The light produces 3 white flashes, repeated every 30secs with a range of 18 miles. Lighthouse and Lighthouses. Morston Quay in Norfolk
The Norfolk Coast Path takes from Morston to Blakeney and on to Cley next the Sea. Tides out on a quiet day and the sun is slowly lighting up the creek. Thornham Staithe Norfolk
On the Norfolk coast the old coal barn and abandoned boat are iconic images of Thornham harbour. Thornham coal shed features in many photographs. The village, separated from the sea by marshes, is filled with wildlife. The white-painted pub in Ship Lane, The Lifeboat Inn, was originally built in the 16th century and was a smuggler's ale house. Mylor Yacht Harbour Cornwall
In the mid 19th century Mylor became one of the first Navy training centres for boys. Using the 84 gun hull of HMS Ganges, converted into a training ship, volunteers aged between 15 and 17 spent a year being educated for Navy service. This continued for nearly 30 years. This natural safe harbour in Mylor Creek is now home to the Mylor Yacht Harbor, a small fishing fleet and a watersports centre. Boats can coast into Carrick Roads out past St Mawes and Falmouth to the sea.
