Collections by this artist
Lincoln
My favourite images of Lincoln in the East Midlands featuring the medieval Lincoln cathedral, Lincoln Castle & sites along the River Witham. Lincoln is also home to the International Bomber Command Centre which honours those lost their lives serving during WW2 - the entire county is rich in WW2 aviation history.
Cathedrals
My favourite images of cathedrals & religious building captured through England, some parts of Croatia & Cuba. Highlights within the collection include Lincoln Cathedral, Ely Cathedral, Birmingham Cathedral, Chester Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral & Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral Metropolitan Cathedral.
Three Shires Head
My favourite images of Three Shires Head on Axe Edge Moor near Buxton where two beautiful packhorse bridges mark the spot where the counties of Staffordshire, Cheshire & Derbyshire all meet. Water from the River Dane flows over two waterfalls which attracts people throughout the year to bath in the natural pools.
Baslow Edge
My favourite images of Baslow Edge, an area of moorland in the Peak District which ends with an escarpment offering stunning views over the Derwent Valley & down the ridge towards Curbar Gap & Froggatt Edge. The collection is made up of images featuring the large boulders, panoramic views over the Derbyshire countryside & Highland Cows (or Highland Coos) in the moors.
Norfolk
My favourite images of Norfolk, my county of birthday & the place I still love to visit since moving to Liverpool. The images in this collection are my personal favourites of the county. Stunning seascapes of Wells next the Sea, Blakeney, Sheringham, Cart Gap, Happisburgh, West Runton, Cromer & Cley make up the coastal images, whilst inland the images are Great Bircham, Hunsett, Whitlingham Broad, Barton Broad, Thetford, Watton & Wymondham.
Marrakech
Mt favourite images of Marrakech in western Morocco. Packed full of culture, colour & tradition, the city is a street photographers dream with opportunities along most narrow alleys, roads & squares - not forgetting of course the colourful leather slippers which double up as authentic souvenirs.
Avro Vulcan
My favourite images of XH558 the Avro Vulcan bomber which wowed the public & aviation enthusiasts across the country after restoration by the Vulcan to the sky trust from 2007. She flew at airshows & did flypasts across the United Kingdom until her finale year in 2015 which culminated with a dramatic flypast with the Royal Air Force's Aerobatic Display Team the Red Arrows at the Southport airshow - their final appearance together before she retired to Doncaster airport. The Vulcan became iconic during operation Black Buck where the bomber carried out a series of seven ambitious long-distance bombing missions on the Falkland Islands during the Falklands War in 1982.
Llyn Peninsula
My favourite images of Llyn Peninsula/Lleyn peninsula, often referred to as Snowdown's arm - such is it's charm & natural beauty. Rocky cliffs give way to coves of sandy beaches all along this stretch of the North Wales coast giving endless photography opportunities. Highlights include seascapes of Borth y Gest, Criccieth, Abersoch & Llanbedrog on the South of the peninsula, then Porthdinllaen & Nefyn on the North.
Lighthouses
My favourite images of lighthouses captured around the coast of England & Wales. These include Happisburgh lighthouse, Hunstanton lighthouse, Crosby lighthouse, Penmon Point lighthouse, Scarborough lighthouse, Twr Maw lighthouse (known as Great Tower at Llanddwyn), Twr Bach lighthouse (known as Small Tower at Llanddwyn), New Brighton/Perch Rock lighthouse Leasowe lighthouse & South Stack lighthouse.
Walberswick
My favourite images of Walberswick on the Suffolk coastline positioned between busy Southwold & tiny Dunwich. Now known for its boat trips & crabbing opportunities, the village was a major trading port until WW1. Long wooden bridges span some of the large tidal pools behind the beautiful sand dunes on the beach.
Llanberis
My favourite images of Llanberis, the popular little town at the foot of Snowdon. The collection includes the dramatic Ceunant Mawr waterfall, steam train on the narrow gauge Llanberis Lake Railway, rugged landscapes showing the history of the area's connection with the slate quarries & of course the lonely tree at Llyn Padarn known as the Lone Tree of Llanberis.
RAF Typhoon
My favourite images of the Royal Air Force's multirole fighter jet the Eurofighter Typhoon, captured at airshows & RAF bases around England. The images include plenty of afterburner images, close ups of the fast jet taking off, coming into land & a personal highlight a diamond nine to celebrate the RAF's 100th anniversary.
Red Arrows
My favourite images of the Royal Air Force's aerobatic team, the Red Arrows performing fly pasts & airshows throughout England. This collection is full of colourful frame-filling images of the famous Hawk T1 red jets trailing their patriotic red, white & blue smoke in different formations, taking off, landing, or completing some of their unique flypasts.
Croatia
My favourite images of Croatia featuring Rovinj, Split, Korcula, Hvar, Mljet, Dubrovnik and some of the other stunning islands dotted on the edge of the Adriatic Sea. Once part of Yugoslavia, Croatia (part of the Balkans) gained independence from its neighbours in the Balkans 1991 & has since grown to become an outstanding destination for tourists seeking Mediterranean climate & scenery.
South Stack
My favourite images of South Stack Cliffs on Holy Island in Anglesey on the North Wales coast. Home to heathland, farmland & of course South Stack Lighthouse perched on a rocky headline behind cliffs, the national reserve is a haven to sea birds such as Gannets, Razorbills & Puffins depending on the time of year.
London
My favourite images captured in London, the capital city of England. The collection includes iconic landmarks like Big Ben, The Gherkin, Lloyds of London Building, Tower Bridge, London Embankment, the River Thames, Westminster Bridge, Piccadilly Circus, The Millennium Bridge leading to St Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, Camden Town & many others.
Wirral Peninsula
My favourite images of the Wirral Peninsula in Merseyside featuring some of the stunning coastline in the Dee Estuary & Mersey Estuary. New Brighton Lighthouse (situated at Perch Rock) & Leasowe Lighthouses feature as well as some of the sea defences which protect the Wirral coast from the rough Irish Sea.
Scaleber Force
My favourite images of Scaleber Falls in Yorkshire. Upper Scaleber Force & Lower Scaleber Force are located just beneath Scaleber Bridge where the Stockdale Beck plunges down a number of dark rocky ledges into Scaleber Wood. The water which flows out of the pools beneath is known as Scaleber Beck.
Anglesey
My favourite images of Anglesey on the North Wales coast. From the gateway to the island across the Menai Strait to the sandy beaches, rocky cliffs & the beautiful lighthouses which jut out into the Irish Sea, this collection is full of varied seascapes around the 125 miles of coastline on the Anglesey Coastal Path - some say the best part of the Welsh coast.
Seals
My favourite images of seals spotted off the North Norfolk coast. The Wash (in particular the area around Morston & Blakeney) is a haven for both Grey Seals & Common Seals as they breed on the coastline and play not only in the sea but also in narrow channels which makes seeing them from dedicated boats also a guarantee.
North Yorkshire
My favourite images of North Yorkshire with some of it's stunning scenery, landscapes, panorama views & stunning coastline. The collection features the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, Skipton, Wharfedale, the Ribblehead Viaduct, Yorkshire Dales, steam trains, Yorkshire landscapes & Yorkshire seascapes.
Ferry cross the Mersey
My favourite images of the Mersey Ferry captured on the River Mersey on the famous Liverpool waterfront. The ferry line was made famous overnight in 1964 when Gerry Marsden wrote the song "Ferry Cross the Mersey" which was sang by Gerry and the Pacemakers. Nowadays, commuters use the ferry to commute from the Wirral Peninsula to the Pier Head terminal on the Liverpool waterfront, and by day the ferry offers cruises to tourists.
Derwent Water
My favourite images taken around Derwent Water in the Lake District featuring beautiful panoramas, landscapes & landmarks around the lake & it's surrounding hills next to Keswick. The collection includes landmarks such as the Chinese Bridge, Ashness Gate jetty, High Brandelhow jetty & Ashness Bridge.
Monkeys
My favourite images of monkeys, apes, gorillas & other primates of the natural world. The collection features wild monkeys in Costa Rica such as the Spider Monkey, White faced capuchins & Howler monkeys. Squirrel Monkeys, Barbary macaques, Black and White Ruffed Lemurs, Hamadryas baboons & Ring tailed lemurs complete the series from the UK.
