October at Abingdon Bridge canvas
The bridge over the River Thames at Abingdon in Oxfordshire. It first dates from the C15th when it replaced a ferry and since then there have been several re-builds and modofications, the latest being in 1927 to make it wide enouigh for traffic. It's actually two bridges, separated by Nags Head Island on the left here. It carries the A415 from Abingdon to Dorchester-on-Thames. This image was captured on a beautiful October afternoon
