A collection of images from my home town of Dunstable, which is steeped in history, with many prehistoric sites in the area and the town was also a Roman settlement. The Priory Church was the scene of the annulment of Henry VIII's marriage to Catherine of Aragon in 1533.

Nestling in the Suffolk countryside is the picturesque village of Kersey. Lined with Medieval thatched and timber-framed cottages, Kersey owes its wealth and prosperity to the wool trade in the Middle Ages. Many of the attractive cottages in the village were home to families of weavers.

Rye, in East Sussex, is one of England’s best kept secrets. Nestled between green rolling hills and the English Channel it’s one of the best-preserved medieval towns in England, with names like Watchbell Lane, Mermaid Street and Wish Street.

The Cobb is a stone pier in Lyme Regis forming an extensive harbour and believed to date from the time of Edward I. It's a magical location to photograph at sunrise.

Getting up and about in the freezing cold in winter is always an effort but I find this season so beautiful to photograph and so it is nearly always worth the effort. The snow transforms the landscape into a completely different perspective.

With mile upon mile of fine golden sand, the beach at Camber Sands is rightly regarded as one of the best beaches in the UK. Take long strolls beside the rolling waves, revel in the bracing sea air, and enjoy a sense of solitude along this stunning stretch of coast.

I loved photographing the canals, bicycles and bridges of Amsterdam. The autumn colours in the trees reflected beautifully in the canals and the architecture of the gingerbread houses was spectacular.

Clinging to a 400 foot cliff, it has no vehicular traffic, just donkeys and sledges. Its steep, cobbled street tumbles its way down to the ancient fishing harbour and 14th Century quay

Looe, Cornwall

Looe, Cornwall

Looe is situated on both sides of the River Looe. The two towns are joined together by a bridge across the river. In medieval times East Looe and West Looe were separate towns. East Looe includes the harbour and the main shopping centre. West Looe is quieter but also has shops, restaurants and hotels. They are joined by a seven arched bridge, built in 1853.

The breathtaking county of Dorset on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, a long stretch on the English Channel where the cliffs contain many fossils, and rock formations show millions of years of geological history.

The beautiful historic resort of Dubrovnik in Croatia, this location is high on the list of my favourite places to visit. Take the scenic ancient city tour, walking high up on the ancient wall that surrounds the terracotta coloured roof tiles, that was the film location for 'Game of Thrones'.

I have been photographing bluebells in the Chilterns for many years now and it is one of my favourite location shoots of the year. To be in a field of bluebells at dawn as the early morning sun illuminates a vibrant carpet of purple flowers is quite magical.

Fowey, Cornwall

Fowey is an ancient fishing port that is pronounced Foy. Fowey started its life in around the 12th century as a Medieval town which built up around its natural harbour – it is the largest between Plymouth and Falmouth. In recent years, it was famous for being famous novelist Daphne Du Maurier‘s home – she loved the beautiful heritage coast and moved here, basing many of her books on the surrounding areas of the ancient harbour town.
