ThePanavia Tornado is a twin engined military jet with wings that can be swept back in flight to change its flight characteristics. Jointly developed and manufactured by Italy, the United Kingdom and West Germany. With its first flight in August 1974 the Tornado was classed as a Multirole aircraft, strike aircraft.
