Abereiddy, Pembrokeshire, Wales.
Abereiddy is a small coastal hamlet on the northern coast of the St Davids peninsula. The beach has dark sand composed of the grey slate which was quarried beside the beach. The same slate gives a deep blue colour to what is now called the Blue Lagoon which is the breached quarry. The coastal walk from Porthgain to Aberreidy is very popular.

Suffolk, the land of the South Folk, is low-lying although it has quite a few hills - especially to the west. It is largely arable land with the wetlands of the Broads in the north. The Suffolk Coast and Heaths are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It also has Dedham vale and Constable country; all in all I find it almost as beautiful as Norfolk.

The natural phenomenon creates noctiluca scintilans which sees the nighttime sea sparkle and turn a dazzling neon blue colour - almost like it is glowing in the dark. Wales Landscapes
Wales is located on the western side of central southern Great Britain. The large island of Anglesey lies off the northwest coast, separated from mainland Wales by the Menai Strait, and there are a number of smaller islands. Most of Wales is mountainous. Snowdonia in the northwest has the highest mountains, with Snowdon being the highest peak. To the south of the main range lie the Arenig Group, Cadair Idris, and the Berwyn Mountains. In the northeast of Wales, between the Clwyd Valley and the Dee Estuary, lies the Clwydian Range. The Cambrian Mountains run from northeast to southwest and occupy most of the central part of the country. In the south of the country are the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains in southeast Wales. The Welsh lowland zone consists of the north coastal plain, the island of Anglesey, part of the Llyn Peninsula, a narrow strip of coast along Cardigan Bay, much of Pembrokeshire, and southern Carmarthenshire, the Gower Peninsula, and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Falklands, wild life
The Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) are a remote South Atlantic archipelago. With rugged terrain and cliff-lined coasts, its hundreds of islands and islets are home to sheep farms and abundant birdlife. The capital, Stanley, sits on East Falkland, the largest island. The town's Falkland Islands Museum has themed galleries devoted to maritime exploration, natural history, the 1982 Falklands War and other subjects.

Dwejra Bay Gozo Malta
A collection of images of Dwejra bay on the West Coast of Gozo. The former site of the beautiful Azure Window, a natural limestone arch. The arch collapsed into the sea during a heavy storm in March 2017. Some of my images feature the arch, these were taken the year before it was lost. Also featuring images of the road bridge, the c.1652 watchtower, the chapel and the amazing sandstone cliff formations. The Bay today is quieter, but still a beautiful place to visit and a favourite with divers.

Sunset
Sunsets in Norfolk and around the world. North Norfolk is in an Area of outstanding Natural Beauty and the North Norfolk coast is a delightful mix of nostalgic towns and quaint coastal villages. I always get an adrenaline rush as the sun disappears through the horizon and the golden hour starts. The hidden creeks and tiny harbours (staithes) of Norfolk come to life at this time. See my other collections. Thanks for looking.

Rural Norfolk, an unknown County with history
Norfolk, quiet countryside, slow meandering rivers, pretty scenery and farmers! Up in the North of the County you'll find Holt a delightfully old town that once burnt down, with a heritage railway that runs steam trains to the coast at Sheringham. There's a few old water mills, lots and lots of muddy pigs, many, many birds especially in Winter when the Geese arrive and in Spring, bright yellow fields of rape seed plants.

Happisburgh - Norfolk
Happisburgh, pronunanced "hayz·buh·ruh" has great importance on the Norfolk Coastline with Cliff Erousion and A Lighthouse dating back to 1700s, Wooly Mammouth Bones have been found in the Cliffs. The historic village of Happisburgh with a secluded sandy beach, sits on the Deep History Coast and has a fascinating history showing the earliest signs of humans in Britain. The constantly changing coastline, its 18th century lighthouse and 15th century church makes Happisburgh a fascinating place to explore.

Mylor Yacht Harbour Cornwall
In the mid 19th century Mylor became one of the first Navy training centres for boys. Using the 84 gun hull of HMS Ganges, converted into a training ship, volunteers aged between 15 and 17 spent a year being educated for Navy service. This continued for nearly 30 years. This natural safe harbour in Mylor Creek is now home to the Mylor Yacht Harbor, a small fishing fleet and a watersports centre. Boats can coast into Carrick Roads out past St Mawes and Falmouth to the sea.

Norfolk Staithes and Harbours
Centuries ago Vikings traded along the Norfolk Coast and accessed coastal villages using the narrow creeks and rivers. As time passed the creeks were used for fishing boats to offload their catch. At first the fish were transferred up the muddy banks by hand and later using wooden moorings until finally concrete quays were built. These moorings are still used today by fishing boats and recreational sailors.
