Standard Canvas vs Laquered Canvas

Give your canvas durability, add Laquer which adds an extra protective layer, it means your canvas can hang in a bathroom and is more resistant to accidental damage, like scratches.

Please Note:

We recommend if you are choosing an image with a lot of black in it, to have it laquered. As the ink will show finger prints if touched. Adding the laquire will seal the surface so that it will not absorb grease marks from fingers.

Bleed options explained

To produce a canvas with the image wrapped around a frame it requires more of the image and sometimes the focus of the image will get wrapped around the frame, which is not ideal. On these occasions it might be better to clone the image around the edge or just print the image onto the front of the canvas and leave the edges white.

Contemporary Framed Print information

A popular new Photo4me framed option. A super hi-gloss laminate is added to your chosen image resulting in a high quality look that is water and scratch resistant.

The print is heat embossed onto 6mm thick MDF and then encased in a framework that is 48mm wide and 18mm deep. Frames are perfectly mitred and are available in a choice of four contemporary wood finishes

The reverse of the frame will have a hook attached to hang your frame on the wall.

Box Print information

The frame is 50mm deep and will leave a perfect mitred edge of 6mm on the front. The frame itself is made of 18mm thick MDF and is very strong.

Your print will be heat embossed on to 6mm thick mdf, as a result of this printing process it will be water and scratch resistant. We then recess the print and glue into the frame to make a very sharp contemporary framed print.

About Giclée

The name was originally applied to fine art prints created on Iris printers in a process invented in the early 1990s but has since come to mean any high quality ink-jet print and is often used in galleries and print shops to denote such prints.

MDF heat bonded mounts

We print onto a satin hi-quality photographic paper, then we heat bond the print to 6mm thick MDF, leaving a water and scratch resistant surface. Then the mounted print is cut to the measurements required to leave a perfect sharp corner.

Transparency Options Explained

Depending on the colour of the wall where you will hang your Acrylic, it's important to choose either an opaque background ie whites are see through, or choose to have the acrylic finished off with a white coating on the back so that you can hang the item on a dark coloured wall.
